MEET THE BOSS

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF MEGS

I grew up in a very small country village in country NSW population 55 people. When I was 18 I decided to get out of Dodge and moved straight into King Cross. Needless to say that it was a bit of an eye opener and a lot of bad choices were made. I don’t regret a thing.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU WORKED AT THE GREEN PARK HOTEL

I have been extremely lucky to have worked at the green park for almost 4 years now. I’ve worked in Hospitality for over 13 years and the Green Park is by far the best venue I have very worked in.

WHY DID YOU GET INTO HOSPO?

I decided to work in hospitality because I knew it was a male dominated industry and I wanted to break the status quo.

AWESOME! WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE DRINK?

My favourite drink to make is a Negroni

FAVE SONG AT THE GREENY?

I get on the mic whenever I hear Bonnie Tyler – Total Eclipse of the heart.

FUNNIEST STORY?

The best laugh out loud moment I’ve had at the Green Park is when I happened to walk past our Beer Garden and saw one of my beautiful locals curled up on the ground yelling out “I’m a Banana"

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE GREEN PARK MEMORY?

My favourite event at the Green Park was the day that Australia voted YES for Marriage Equality. I was told a lot of very heart felt stories from our guests and locals. It was an incredible day and one I will never forget.
